Inside a high-tech glass room, visitors had to complete noisy tasks without triggering the sound sensors — or face a terrifying jumpscare. A tense and unforgettable challenge to prepare audiences for the return of silence-driven terror on the big screen.

THE CHALLENGE

To promote the Italian release of A Quiet Place: Day One, we needed to create a physical and emotional experience that conveyed the film’s central concept: staying silent to survive. The challenge was to involve people firsthand in the terror of making a sound — and suffering the consequences.

THE IDEA

We created the Quiet Room: a fully soundproofed glass space equipped with directional microphonesand noise sensors. Visitors had to face a unique challenge — remain completely silent while performing tasks that are usually noisy.

The goal? Survive without making a sound and prove you’d make it in the world of A Quiet Place.

A Soundless Survival Test

To bring the chilling atmosphere of A Quiet Place: Day One into the real world, we designed an interactive sensory room that tested participants' ability to stay absolutely silent — or face the consequences. Inside a glass-enclosed, soundproofed space, visitors were challenged to open and eat notoriously noisy snacks like chips or candy without triggering the room’s ultra-sensitive sound detectors.
If they stayed quiet, they survived and received exclusive film merchandise. If they failed, a powerful jump scare soundblasted through hidden speakers, simulating the arrival of the film’s sound-sensitive creatures. A real-world reenactment of the film’s golden rule: “Stay silent to survive.”

Social Buzz & Real Fear

The Quiet Room launched during the film’s release week at Cinema Maximo in Rome, quickly becoming a standout experience for horror lovers and social creators. Journalists, influencers, and moviegoers lined up to test their nerves — and their silence — turning the challenge into viral TikTok and Instagram content.
The mix of physical tension, sharable reactions, and thematic immersion created a perfect storm of engagement, delivering a terrifyingly fun experience and amplifying the film’s message far beyond the theater.
