Comune di Roma

Roma si trasforma

A digital project created to tell the story of the Capital's transformation, day by day. "Roma si trasforma" is the official portal of the City of Rome that makes all active construction sites visible, accessible, and easy to understand: public works, road maintenance, green area interventions, and urban redevelopment.

Comune di Roma

THE CHALLENGE

Rome is an open construction site, with hundreds of ongoing projects on roads, squares, parks, and infrastructure. The City of Rome needed a clear, accessible, and real-time updated tool to restore trust and awareness: a website that would turn data into useful information.

THE IDEA

We designed a digital experience that puts transparency and usability at its core. "Roma si trasforma" is not just an informational website: it is a platform designed to easily navigate through hundreds of projects, filter by neighborhood or type of intervention, and stay updated thanks to an intuitive UI and a UX built around the real needs of the citizens.

Designing transparency

The homepage is a dynamic map that serves as a direct access point to the active construction sites in the city. Filters and thematic categories (Culture, Inclusion, Innovation, and Sustainability) allow for quick and personalized browsing. Each project has a dedicated page with progress status, images, expected dates, and the person responsible for the work. A clear, readable, and mobile-first design ensures accessibility on the go, reinforcing the sense of control and civic participation.

A platform that grows with the city

The interface was designed with a modular system, capable of adapting over time to the evolution of the projects. Each UI component was created to be reusable and easily updatable, facilitating site maintenance and expansion. This approach allows the administration to integrate new construction sites, update content, and modify the information structure without compromising the user experience. A dynamic, flexible design ready to keep pace with Rome's transformation.
