THE CHALLENGE

Revive and relaunch the SN4IFUN platform by turning passive users into engaged players and bringing in a new, younger audience through a dynamic, replayable game experience. The goal was to activate sports fans, especially bettors and fantasy football lovers, with a product that rewards football knowledge and intuition through a fun, competitive, and rewarding experience.

THE IDEA

We created MetaGoats, a meta-football game where users build custom avatars powered by the stats of five real Serie A players. Their performance in actual matches influences gameplay outcomes and the game turns football insight into rewards: NFTs, trophies, and exclusive prizes. A simple mechanic layered with strategic depth, built to ignite competition driving recurring engagement.

At the heart of the project: a bold claim “Only if you’re in, you’re a GOAT”, paired with a recognizable and iconic 3D testimonial that embodied the mindset of every self-declared football expert.

The Campaign

MetaGoats was launched during the 2022 FIFA World Cup with a full 360° communication campaign: TV spots, OOH advertising, influencer partnerships and social media content.

The creative strategy was based on a clear cultural insight:In Italy, everyone thinks they know football better than anyone else. MetaGoats became their arena: a place where the best could prove themselves.

An influencer campaign brought the game to life in real time: top creators, including the 4 hosts of BoboTV, created their avatars live on Twitch during the World Cup, challenging their communities to do the same and fuelling organic buzz.

 

A DIGITAL GAME WITH REAL IMPACT

MetaGoats turned the relaunch of SN4IFUN into a participatory campaign. Players weren’t just viewers, they became players, creators, and collectors. A powerful fusion of entertainment, strategy, and tech that redefined how fans engage with football content.
